EasyTouch

EasyTouch - UCSB Capstone Project 2007

Welcome to the EasyTouch information page.

Our group consists of Shyam Natarajan, Tenesha Harris, Shamik Patel, Ramon Lopez and Jonathan Valamehr who are all seniors at UCSB,

Currently we are enrolled in ECE189: the Computer Engineering Capstone class. We are developing the best project in the class; EasyTouch.

EasyTouch is an integrated LCD/Touchpad with a plethora of uses. Replacing the numberpad on conventional keyboards, EasyTouch will be able to mimic the very same behavior of the number pad, as well as be used in conjunction with a Stylus pen as a mousepad. Also, drawing becomes much easier with our EasyDraw system, as a traditional mouse is no longer needed to draw graphics on the computer screen. This is more intuitive as most learn to draw with a pen and not with a two-button mouse. Our project uses a PIC18F4550 microprocessor, an Epson LCD controller, and a TI touchscreen controller as its main components and is powered through USB.
